Lime Rock Park will once again host the best sports car racing in the country as the American Le Mans Series returns for Round 5 of their 2009 championship. The ALMS machines are widely acclaimed for their amazing technology and green initiatives, but last year proved that these guys also put on an amazing show. In addition, the weekend will feature Formula BMW, the Atlantic Championship and IMSA Lites.
American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix Car Corrals
Lime Rock Park will once again be offering Car Corrals on both Friday and Saturday for Porsche and Corvette owners. Corrals include premium parking in the infield as well as parade laps on Saturday for the first 50 cars from each make. Unfortunately, the GT1 Corvettes will not be participating at Lime Rock Park this year. However, we are pleased to announce that we are expecting a GT2 class Corvette entry by Lou Gigliotti Motorsports. (CAR CORRAL TICKETS ARE NOT SOLD ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT)
Mohegan Sun NASCAR Camping World 200 14-15 August 2009
Lime Rock Park switches gears from sports cars to stock cars this weekend as young, up-and-comers take the fight to NASCAR’s old guard. With Lime Rock being one of only two road courses on the schedule, these stock car drivers will be sure to duke it out to the finish line during this Mohegan Sun 200 spectacular. Don't forget your camera and Sharpie for the fan-friendly driver autograph session!
